As you move through the stages and steps of a SurePact record, some fields will be available and other grayed out (or more correctly, “purpled out”).
The fields available to you depend on your user role.
As an example, let’s look at the self-assessed risk profile and approver workflow for a project.
Only the Project Manager has permission to complete the Risk Profile step. After choosing the rating and entering a comment, the Save Risk Rating button is black, which means it can be clicked.
This moves the workflow to the Risk Review step, which has two parts: approval request and approval. The first part - approval request - can be submitted only by the Project Manager. For this user, the Request Approval button can be clicked.
Now let’s say a different team member – not the Project Manager - was assigned the Risk Approver role. For the Project Manager, the Submit Approval / Rejection button is light purple, and not available for clicking.
For the Risk Approver, however, this button is available.
