Note: A portfolio is a type of SurePact record.
Portfolios are a tool for grouping projects and their related grants. Projects in a portfolio typically represent a Program of Work: projects that share the same aim or objective.
As an example, a portfolio named “Sustainable Communities” would contain projects and grants set up toward that goal. This portfolio could contain three projects:
- Solar Powered Street Lights
- EV Charging Stations
- Solar Power for Council Buildings
The Portfolios module is where you can track the entire lifecycle of all portfolios to which you have access.
There are three phases in the portfolio lifecycle:
Initiation and Planning
- Portfolio setup: The Portfolio Manager completes foundation questions to create and define the portfolio. Links to and between grants and projects can be created at this stage, or later in the portfolio lifecycle.
- Portfolio risk profile / risk approval: The Portfolio Manager defines the profile risk; the Portfolio Risk Approver approves.
In Delivery
- Delivery: The majority of portfolio projects are delivered.
Review and Closeout
- Portfolio Closeout Complete: All associated projects are completed, and final documents are uploaded.
- Portfolio Archived: All projects are completed, and the portfolio is archived for future reference.
