A SurePact delegation is a handy way to transfer responsibilities when the need arises.
Any project or contract tasks that must be completed in your absence will be assigned to your chosen delegate, and will appear in their task list for completion. And even though you won’t be making system updates yourself, you will still retain access to view what is happening.
If you have a huge workload, you probably won’t want to allocate all tasks to a single colleague. So SurePact provides the flexibilty to split up your various projects or contracts, and delegate tasks to the most appropriate person. For example, you could delegate your project-wide responsibility to a team leader, but allocate specific contract management activities to specific individuals from your team.
Here’s how it’s done:
Click your username or profile image at the top right. In the window that pops open, click the Delegation icon.
The Delegation list shows all existing delegations created by all users. To start a new one, click Create Delegation.
The first step is choosing the From and To users. The person receiving the delegation will be assigned all the From user’s tasks.
Note: Admin users can delegate any From and To users, but non-admins can only delegate themselves.
The next steps are for each type of SurePact record that is to be delegated. Scroll through each step, choose the records to delegate, and click Next to proceed.
When all records are selected, click Add New Delegation, and you’re all set!
Note: Delegations are recorded in the Governance Log for each selected record.
